Set up in the historic Spouting Horn building in Depoe Bay, we are bringing craft beer to the world’s smallest harbor and beyond. Our passion for quality shows in our product, as we continue to produce top notch beer that can be enjoyed by the casual drinker and connoisseur alike.
The Spouting Horn was a beloved coastal attraction for decades, so when it closed its doors in 2014 it left not only an empty building in Depoe Bay, Oregon, but an enticing opportunity. Jerome and Clary Grant saw that opportunity and ran with it; their vision was to renovate the historic building and create a new destination for both locals and tourists. An ambitious project was in the works, one that was met with surprise and enthusiasm; bringing a brewery to Depoe Bay. The next two years were full of challenges as the old building was revamped, brewing equipment was installed, and paperwork was filed.
In December of 2016 the Horn Public House and Brewery opened its doors to the public. Come April 2017, Depoe Bay Brewing Company’s first beer “No Whimps Pale Ale” began pouring from the taps. The brewery nested right over the world’s smallest harbor has flourished since that first beer went on tap at The Horn, back in April of 2017; thanks to the hard work and vigor of brewer Chris Jennings, Depoe Bay Brewing Company now offers half a dozen beers (and counting), which are on tap all along the Oregon Coast.
